I used to think that insurance was like a protection racket run by gangsters. I figured, since the insurance company asks for a premium or a certain amount of money in exchange for a little cover , it’s no better than a Mafioso breathing down your neck. Not anymore. I see insurance now as a form of investment, a buffer against crises and disasters.  We humans after all are risk-averse.

As an investment, insurance will cost money, thus it is important to find a company with a policy that gives you value for your Peso, Dollar, Yen or Euro. Most people would like to save money on insurance and this is something insurance companies should take into consideration. I think a lot of people, once they have appreciated the benefits of having insurance (this will probably happen when insurance companies write in comprehensible terms and conditions, when terms are not written in legalese) and if companies reduce premiums, would get their own insurance policy, if they don’t have any provided at the office that is.

There are a lot of companies that provide online insurance policy. A search on the www would give a listing of insurance companies with that kind of service. It will be helpful if you compare different policies and the respective prices first before getting hitched to a particular insurance company. You don't wanna be jacked by conmen.

Big Brother was a concept invented by a socialist. Big Brother is also socialist. Selling out is very capitalist.
josec wrote on Dec 4, '07
Ok, but you still sold out so what now happens with your Marxism mantras? I don't recall Lenin having insurance coverage for his revolutionary activities.

On this note, I'd like to quote Churchill, well, most people believe Churchill said it, "If you're not a communist when you're 25, you have no heart. If you're still a communist by the time you're 35, you have no brain."
